Community Giving

In Spring of 2021, our congregation joined hands with HumanKind, a non-profit organization located across the state of Virginia, to open a flourishing Early Head Start program. We identified a pressing need in our community for affordable childcare and took action. Through our partnership with HumanKind, we help serve families of children 0-3 years old.

Bedford Christian Ministries provides food and limited financial assistance to senior, disabled and low-income residents of Bedford County. Our congregation joins with more than two dozen other churches in the area, to support this ministry financially, as well as providing volunteer and donation opportunities throughout the year.

BCC supports this important ministry that regularly feeds scores of needy individuals and families in the Bedford area each week. Supported financially by our Outreach Committee, members of our congregation also gather on the first Wednesday of each month to prepare food and serve the Shepherd’s Table.
