Ways To Worship

Services + Extracurriculars

Early Service

Informal 9:00am services are offered every Sunday for those ready to kick-start their day with the word of God. You can expect a smaller, more intimate vibe – surrounded by calm and peace. In addition to the in-person service, you are welcome to worship from the parking lot by tuning your vehicle’s radio to 90.9 FM.

Late Service

Surround yourself with church family at our larger, 10:45am service. Experience the message through song, meditation, and His word. A little more formal-in-structure, yet not stuffy at all, you’ll leave this service with your spiritual cup filled to overflowing, and an equally joy-filled heart, ready to live the word of God.

Bible Study

Every Thursday at 10:30am, we gather together for a preview of the coming Sunday sermon. Our weekly Bible study offers a time to read and discuss scripture among other members of the congregation. We also offer seasonal and topical Bible studies throughout the year, as well as a Women’s Bible Study once a month.

Lunch Bunch

Get to know your church family and mingle with our Pastor in a fun, social atmosphere while exploring the tastes of Bedford. Every 2nd Thursday of the month, we gather at different dining locations around town for lunch and fellowship. Contact the Main Office for more information.

If you prefer worshiping from the comfort of your home, we livestream our 10:45am service. Recordings are also available for viewing on demand on our Facebook page

Giving of Tithes may be done at each in-person service, or online via the church’s PayPal.

Children’s Worship

Children’s Moment

In the middle of worship, we invite kids of all ages to join us at the front of the sanctuary for a short, fun and interactive message geared just for them.

Children’s Worship & Wonder

For children 2 and up, we offer a kid-friendly option during our 10:45am service. After Children’s Moment, our youngest members are invited to the Children’s Worship and Wonder center to learn about stories within the Fible and apply them to everyday life. Lessons are hands-on, interactive, and give Mom & Dad a chance to focus on their own moment of worship.

Garden Ministry

Throughout Spring, Summer, and into Fall, we host our Garden Ministry. This is a wonderful ministry for the kids and adult volunteers too, to get their hands dirty planting, tending and harvest a garden full of produce. What we grow is made available to the congregation and donated to local food pantries.

Craig Springs Camp & Retreat Center

Nestled in the mountains of New Castle, VA, Craig Springs Camp provides our church’s youth with the opportunity to truly experience God in nature. This “sleep away” camp is a ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Virginia and it offers a variety of camping experiences for kids of all ages and abilities. For more information, see the Craig Springs website.
